How i Judge right fire power for pocket carry, the pit bull dog rule.

I love my pits, but instead of singeling out a breed how about we just say a loose dog. Report the idiot(s) for having loose dogs first, try pepper spray as a medium. If they are on your property attacking, shoot em' if it's legal. The ASPCA may file charges against you, so know your laws...

How to wear a paddle holster?

Sure would. Try a 1 1/2" or 2" belt that fits snug. The tighter the belt the better the holstwr will stay where you put it. You'll notice it in movement and draw.

A first hand account. Single 9mm fmj fatality

the op said the victim was in the middle of it, so I originally thought they were in the wrong place and it was a freak accident type of shot. Center mass is what I shoot for so it would have to be the area of choice. As far as legality, why would you risk your life with a target round over a...

    Gander Mountain & Open Carry

I go to GM all the time both OC and CC, I've only been asked to check my bow to go to the archery lane. Every gun shop I've been in while OC'ing never made a quam about it. But I do live in an OC state. I noticed the sign the 1st time I went and thought, That's aw'right!

"I Survived" TV show on Biography

So any attack on a human by a human can be considered an act of terrorism. I think this is a great show because it not only shows a citizen can be vigilant against an attacker, but also shows how not to become a easy target.

    Are we whimps?

I did on my first few rounds and I still shoot my reloads to this day. I normally reload 9mm and haven't set my dies up for 38spe yet. I'm waiting on my brass to pile up for efficiency purposes.

A first hand account. Single 9mm fmj fatality

Make fun of me if you choose, but I've never had a hollow point pass through an object, so I'm thinking it must have been a target round. Also, I thought it was illegal to carry a target round in a weapon for self defense. At any rate it did boiled down to a piss poor or very well placed shot...

    What makes you smile?

I love the skeet shooting image I've got. I'd have to say shooting with my daughter, she'll be 4 this year. Taking out a new shooter for their first time, shotting my BP, and shooting a fresh round of hand loads I just pressed. All in that exact order.

    Who was this guy?

Just offer these guys a free dental check up for all the poop they talk. funny stories though. I can't talk about my missions, but my woman will de-brief me tonight.

If it wasn't for Walmart, I wouldn't be shooting.

it took me a few trips to find everything but reloadding is way cheaper. It's a science, but not rocket science. Your gun shop should be able to give you all the info you need. Verbal instruction and selling you a manual. do it, it is a form of therapy. Kind of like hunting for your own...

    What's wrong with this picture.....

I saw it as a possible mag drop before firing the chambered round. The "girl" sentence is only partial due to the crop of the photographer? The dope with the AR on the right is going towards the pistolero in what looks like RTF mode?

    CCW question about gun...

qualify with your primary carry. I qualified with mine, but carry a Kel-Tec every now and then when I wear certain clothes. I'm not as accurate as my primary, but I still get em' within 1" of the bull's eye. Confidence of competency is your goal.

    Bedside weapon

Well, my wife for starters, followed by an XD. If I have time and can get to the arsenal, the bad guy just lost. I refuse to live in fear inside my own home, but once the s hits the f, we all have 1 common goal in mind. Stop the threat.

    Civilian Accuracy?

I answered yes because I've witnessed some awful targets at the range. That's part of the reason I practice at home. When you hit my 15 yard target and your 2 lanes over shooting at your 7 yard target, I'm very ready to leave. I know some CCW instructors require you to get a percentage of...

    How often do you carry?

I was in a bar the other night when the on duty LEO walked in. Glad I wasn't carrying! Whenever legal unless my destination doesn't allow. I'll leave it in my vehicle or leave it at home and make sure I have my knife at least.

Does having a CCW automatically waive your right to consent for a search

Just exercise common sense even if you bust a fart trying to muster up some common sense. If the LEO is being nice, be nice in return. If the LEO is being a jerk..... Be nice in return. If you have nothing to hide, let them search and go on about your day. If you feel unsafe, ask for another...

    Gun Advocates A Charity

So yesterday I was watching a SD show and heard something about a particular gun manufacturer supporting a nationaly known medical facility. So I asked my wife what her take on it was. That prompted me to wonder how gun advocates and antis feel about it. Say Glock gave money to Boys and...
