I really like my little Sig,small enough to go anywhere. I also cast a 102 round nose boolit so shooting it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. You won't be disappointed in either of the different models.
I use the strong mount on my 550 and don't see why it wouldn't work with any press. The mount comes in two pieces, one on each side of the press, push comes to shove you might have to drill new holes to line up with your press. Should work.
One day I'll own another 550b and they'll be (each) with large and small primer set ups, but until that day comes I'll use my 550b with a smile on my face. I do use 2 powder measures though, one large and one small, makes that change over simple. The SD seems to be a fine press but would cost to...
You may not be able to eat gold and silver, but if the economy goes south you'd be able to trade for goods with it. While the dollar wouldn't be worth a plugged nickle.
In another post above it was stated that the Rockchucker would not load the 50BMG, The newer Supreme model will do the job just fine. Although I do most my reloading on the 550b the supreme does all my rifle loads. I'd definitely start out on either the single stage or the lee cast turret.
Need pictures PLEASE! This thread is great, luv all the opinions from everybody. I honestly feel it's an addition and the only fix is to shoot more and reload if you know how. The 44 is a great caliber, and the one I enjoy most. It must be the heat.
