Yea I was just about to ask how much it would cost to have a gunsmith smooth out the barrel. Do you think you could make a .50 into a 20 ga which I think is around .63 or would that be to much metal being taken away
Is this very common? Has anyone ever just taken an older 50 cal muzzleloader that does not shoot well and turn it into a shootgun. Basically can you put some powder and shot down the barrel and make a reasonable shotgun?
For lack of where to put this question I decided here.
I would like a scope that has better field of view than a standard pistol scope (but does not need to be as good as a rifle), needs to be at least 6 power and preferably variable power, is able to be used on a pistol (more eye relief...
I have a savage bolt with a loose rear baffle. It looks as if it is only held snug to the bolt body through a ball bearing type system. I have compared this bolt to another savage(stevens) bolt and it does not appear any parts are missing. This baffle is loose enough to slid out of it little...
Anyone know of an aftermarket buttplate to replace the ugly rubber stock "plate". I would like one that could shorten the length of pull a bit also. Some links would be great.
New rifle. Need a scope in the 3-9x or 4-12x power range for a 7mm-08. I would like to spend 150 bucks but no more than 200 and no less than 100. What is the best scope for the money? ( I am looking a Nikon prostaff, redfield, simmons atec, any others?)
I am going to get a NAA mini mostly just for fun, however it might find some carry time. Is there going to be a big enough energy difference between the .22 long rifle and the .22 mag. I would prefer the .22 LR for cost, noise, and shootablility. Just give me some thoughts.
This new little pocket pistol was built from kel tec engineers. They are a new company, but I got to hold this pistol at a recent gun show and was really impressed. Has anyone had some range time with this pistol?
Has anyone had experience with the fairly new Diamondback .380. It is basically built by Keltec engineers. Just wondering about reliability and accuracy compared to the LCP and P3AT
I am getting a new over/under for graduation. The ones I am considering is the Beretta 686 white onyx and browning citori. Are there any others I should take a look at in this price range? Anyone have a strong opinion on either of these? (it will be used for everything)
ps I have shot a couple...
Its easy to free float the barrel. just take some sand paper to the inside of the barrel channel until you get a dollar to go in between in barrel and stock. (there are some sites that will give you detailed instructions if you just google it.)
The trigger I just had mine done and it cost me 20...
