    Sig P210 target accurate handloads

Hi all, Just acquired an American made sig p210 target pistol. I'm stoked on the new piece and I'm already thinking about handloading match grade ammo for it (haven't even fired it yet lol) Does anyone out there load for this pistol? If so what grain/style of bullet do you have the best results...

Best profile for Henry Big Boy?

I know this question has probably been asked ad nauseum. But I'm gonna ask it again to gain a little knowledge on the issue. I picked up a Henry big boy in .357 magnum a couple years ago and haven't been able to get any of my usual loads to cycle reliably. SWC, RNFP, SJSP and SJHP bullets give...

bullets not found in my reloading manual

I have reloaded for a long time and have always wanted to understand how the same about of powder affects different bullet types, boat tail, flat bottom, match, hollow point? Mostly concerned with the pressure it creates thanks

    Bullet type matters?

A question I have is in regards to types of bullets. I have read and heard that there are basically 3 types of bullets. Secant, tangent, and hybrid ogives. Which is better/ preferred? Why? I've heard of trimming the outside of the case neck, not sure why people do it though.

    Bullet value

Good afternoon. I read on one of the threads that if you wish to sell something that there is a place on this site where you can find an approximate price to ask. Can someone guide me in the right direction? Not a member yet but that is my intention. I have some bullets that I no longer have a...

Hypothetical self defense handloads for 458 SOCOM

Looking at what bullets would be very effective against soft bodies so I can have at least one mag of it. I'm looking at Maker bullets 300gr TREX, Lehigh 300gr Controlled Fracturing, or Cutting Edge 260gr Maximus copper solid. Kind of limited on powder and only have H110 and Lil Gun, so bullets...

Cast bullets for 8mm Level Revolver

Hey y'all, I figured I'd share a neat discovery I made today. I've been wanting to have some cast bullets for my Lebel Revolver which takes a .329 diameter bullet. I have a .356 120gr truncated cone mold, so correct weight but wrong size. Today, I realized that I could reduce my .356 bullets by...

Best sites for ammo? And best ammo?

I have heard really good things about targetsportsusa for ammo. I don’t usually buy bulk because I have a gun shop right next to me so if I knew I was gonna shoot I’d walk to the gun store and buy rounds. I know online is cheaper but that’s also with shipping and sense I don’t buy bulk I...

Where to store ammunition in an apartment

I found lots of old discussions about where to store ammo, but most were quite old, and almost all referred to someone with a house. So, I'm posting a new thread. Let's say someone with several (5 to 10 or so) guns wants to store a reasonable amount of ammunition is a good place. People have...

    Kudos to Evergladesamm.com

In February, I placed an order for components from Evergladesammo.com. They sent a shipment confirmation including a USPS tracking number. I tracked the shipment on the USPS website and on the day it was supposed to arrive, it didn't. The next day the USPS website said it was "delayed"...

Help choosing hunting bullets for .300WM and .25-06

I'm working on hunting loads for two rifles, both Rugers, one in .300WM and one in .25-06. I've had the .300WM for several years and found one load that is superbly accurate in my rifle: 165 gr. TSX over a heavy charge of IMR 4831. So, if you were going to develop another hunting load, what...

How they did it back then

I've been searching for info on the loads used back in the 1850s in Colt and Remington revolvers, without much success. I get a little info here and there. I know revolvers are less sensitive that autoloaders, but were they as strict as we are now-a-days with the weight, size, type and powder...

Plinking Ammo: Pulled bullets vs. Inexpensive NEW bullets?

I've been buying "premium" or at least premium priced bullets from Hornady, Sierra, and Nosler exclusively but it has dawned on me recently that I might be throwing cash away and if the goal is to shoot so I can improve my skills, I might be able to shoot more if I lower the cost of the rounds...
