maintenance

Hello guys & gals. So like the title says... I'm totally confused lol. I've shot LESS THAN 20 ROUNDS through my Mosin Nagant. Granted, it was TulAmmo; but still! Am I missing something here? If my process & equipment matter, I'm dipping a brass bore brush in Hoppe's no.9 gun bore cleaner...

Considering that most revolvers are kind of a pain in the butt to open and get to the lock work, and considering that the major manufacturers test fire their revolvers before shipping, does anyone ever lubricate the lock work when buying a new revolver? After 1000 rounds? At all?

Of the guns you've owned which would you say required the most meticulous maintanence?
