    Color choice for Boyd’s Stock

I’m putting a new stock on my Howa 308. I’ve narrowed it down to 2 choices. This one is called pepper. This is forest camo or something like that. Im a visual person, and I wondered if anyone had either of these on something and would be willing to share a photo so I can get a better idea...

    Proper ferrule attachment

What is the proper way to attach a ferrule to the wood m1a stock I'm working on? I've looked, but can't find anything definitive.

Enfield III* - "sport" stock recommendations

I picked up a 1917 SMLE III* for cheap. It's already been sporterized so the damage is done. It feels like whoever did it was on a budget, or maybe it was made to be a kid's first "real" rifle. The length of pull is very short and the forestock is very narrow and shallow, to the point a bipod...

    Old stevens stock bolt help

Hello friends, I hope you're all having a great day and all staying safe. I was hoping to tap into the collective knowledge of you all to help solve a predicament in which I find myself stuck. My father had an old stevens 124A cross bolt shotgun that was broken in two from the day he got it...

    Small Ring Mauser Stock Options

Hope everyone's Christmas festivities were amazing and safe. I want to see if anyone has experience with small ring mauser actions/stock choices. Cost isn't a giant factor, its about the bonding over building, assembling, and shooting finished rifles. I am talking about 1893 Odevo Spanish...

Keeping stock secure on rifle chassis.

On precision rifle chassis that use an AR-15 style buffer tube for the buttstock, how do you keep it from loosening? There is no plate to stake into the castle nut, so do you loctite it, or just crank it down and hope it stays?

    Hercules Model 10 Stock

Hi everyone, My father-in-law has an old Model 10 Hercules Ward (Stevens 94) in 16 ga. from the '20s. The metalwork is in good condition, but the stock has an enormous chunk missing out of the grip. Called Jack's First, and they said that it is an earlier design with a thin tang and only a...

    M1 Carbine Stock

So I took my M1 carbine out shooting this weekend, which was fun and all, but I cracked the stock behind the tang screw. To clear things up, it's an IAI M888 so not a genuine M1 carbine. I was going to ask for suggestions on how to fix this but I want to post some pictures first, which I won't...

    M77 mark 1 stock

I've got a Ruger m77 mark 1 .22-250. It's got the wood stock on it and I have been trying to find a rubberized stock for it. I don't want one that is hollow at the butt because they feel flimsy to me. Does anyone know if the mark 2 stocks fit the mark 1s?

How do you aim rifle iron sights without a stock?

While shooting laser tag last weekend, I discovered my aim is terrible. While it was laser tag, the principles should be the same as with any rifle; hopefully that puts this onto the right subforum. The guns are Tippmann made and part of the iCombat system (which is based on the IRTactical...

    Winchester Model 670?

I've just arranged to buy one of these in .30-06. From what I can gather, it's about 40 years old, and was Winchester's budget alternative to the Model 70 at the time. It seems pretty solid, and has a really smooth action and a nice trigger pull. I'm not overly keen on the stock though. I...

Tikka T3 Bell & Carlson stock?? Worth it??

I'm considering getting a Bell and Carlson Medalist stock on my T3 300WM. I like this rifle as is. With my hand loads it shoots sub MOA regularly. Once in a great while though, it sends one of those unexplainable flyers. I think having an aluminum bedding block and a truly free floated barrel...
