Looking into getting one of these molds. Will be shooting out of a uberti 4.75" sa.
Anyone of these bullets considered to be more accurate than the other?
Any thoughts appreciated

Except for the heavy one, you prolly won't be able to tell the difference. I think the first two will depend on the mold manufacturer rather than the bullet, choose which mold you prefer. Not sure about a 270 gr. bullet for the 45 Colt, but I haven't tried one. I use a lot of RNFP bullets like the Lyman 452664 in my 45 Colt SA clone...

Does anyone know if the lyman 454424 wil be heavier than 260 gr with 1:20 alloy?
My uberti shoots low with 250 gr bullets even at slower speeds. (Yeah, i could file the sights I guess)

My favorite is the RCBS 45-255KT. Only one deer so far but it's the only one I've shot at. Through and through. Wheelweights and alox, .452, Ruger 4 3/4".

For hunting, hands down the 45-270SAA. The single most accurate bullet in my Uberti 45 Colt-

For some reason I just get so-so accuracy with bullets from my 454424 mould. I have an RCBS 45-255KT mould and bullets from it are quite accurate, but it's an "in between" mould to me; too heavt for plinking and pharting around, But lighter than I want for hunting.

By the way, I recently begand sizing my .45 caliber bullets .454" and leading has almost completely gone away.

The later 454424 moulds departed from Elmers original design regarding equal width driving bands and deep square lube groove. My original works fine in two Blackhawks, a 625, a 1911, and a Uberti. Too long for my ROA with conversion cylinder.
