Yeah, I know the ThunderDuds are bad but it does give new shooters a chance to solve real world ammo failures!

Another plus on the ammo was it was FREE. An old friend who is now deqad got a killer deal on cases of the stuff. The ammo was so bad he gave it to me, or what was left. One case is sitting in the bottom of his stock pond, he got so mad he threw a whole case in there. Later he gave a bunch to me years ago. Frustrating stuff but good for training.

just be aware, thunderbolts are about the worst 22lr ammo around.

I'd have to say there's no "about" to it. They are definitely the worst ammo of any caliber I've ever shot. The funny thing is that some people swear by them. I generally swear at them.

Of course there is a handful of upgrades that were fun to do. Can't remember what the stock version did. It was so long ago. Ammo was your basic Winchester 555. Just seems to shoot well in the gun. Go figure.
