Since I'm getting a 10/22, I think I'll want to get some cool accessories for it. Now I know that any "pistol grip" stocks and "flash hiders" are illegal in the PRK, BUT after reading through the "assault weapons" identification guide on http://www.caag.state.ca.us/, it seems that the CA law only applies to centerfire rifles. I know I can't but both a flash hider and a pistol grip on at the same time because of the '94 federal ban, but is one at a time okay in California? I think this says it is, but I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

Generic Characteristics Defining Assault Weapons:
12276.1 (a) Notwithstanding Penal Code section 12276, “assault weapon†shall also mean the following:
Rifles
(1) A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of
the following:
(A) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon.
(B) A thumbhole stock.
(C) A folding or telescoping stock.
(D) A grenade launcher or flare launcher.
(E) A flash suppressor.
(F) A forward pistol grip.
(2) A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 10
rounds.
(3) A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has an overall length of less than 30 inches.
Mods: I accidentally posted this in "Rifle Country", feel free to move it to L&P.

Hey Combat- as far as I know (and more daring words were never spoken) you're good to go in your plan. Most of the restrictions are on centerfire rifles.

Then again, I tend to be a little fast and loose in my interpretations of some of our more Draconian firearms laws.
