is there something special about these $15 plastic magazines that makes them better than $10 metal ones?

I don't see how the hex pattern which appears to be decorative in nature does anything for me.

Myself i see nothing wrong with my pmags. Run 100. 10 bucks a piece and catch them on sale for 8 bucks here lately.
