124 Berry Sub-Sonic test! wish me luck

I tried to make a 9mm “Quiet” round when I started reloading. I got it down under 3 grains of W231 and a 125 grain Acme cast bullet. It wasn’t quiet but it was accurate. I could go lower but had to seat bullets fairly deep to get my M&P9 to cycle them. I used cast data from the little bound blue book of 9mm loads.

you don’t know what guns you have… Problem I need!

that thing is so sweet, let her loose man!

Was that even shot?
I have some family members who have expressed an interest in some of the Colts. I may let it go.

Yes, it has been fired.

Having things you don’t remember having is the byproduct of several micro strokes and heart attacks. That problem you don’t need. Trust me.

I was thinking about your suppressed 9m project: have you considered resizing a .357” bullet? Something like the Speer 135gr GDHP SB fills a gap between 124/147gr.

That Sound COOL!

135 would be interesting. Wonder if that was ever a commercial thing? tell you what.. my ears are hurting from shooting suppressed without ears! Imaging a nail gun going off next to your ears!

Advice? Wear some hearing protection while testing. You can get different levels on in ear foam plugs, like musicians use, down to like 7 decibel if I remember correctly. Just until you get it dialed in... Fun project!

I worked wedding events for 15 years. I always plugged my ears with whatever I could find.

Normally I wear foams and muffs.
