I am currently trying to put together some heavier loads for my 6.5 Grendel. I picked up some 6.5mm Hornady interlocks in 140 gr. I would love to shoot these, however I cannot find any load data on this particular bullet. The new hornady manual only lists data up to 129 grain bullets. Has anyone used these? I have found 140 gr loads for the grendel, however they are using different bullets. Let me know what you guys think!

As I understand the interlock issue with the grendel is that the ogive is too long to allow them to be seated and still fit in a mag. If you can get them to seat okay then using a similar powder charge of the other 140 grainers should be okay.

That was kind of what I was wondering. If I can seat them to a depth that would allow magazine feeding, it should be alright. Seating them to the maximum allowable length shouldn't change pressures, velocities, etc... enough to be dangerous would it? I would probably start with a load that is 5-10% less than the other 140 gr loads and work my way up from there. This is uncharted territory for me. I usually stick to loads that are published and tried and true. Thanks!
