I've got a 16 inch 6.5 Grendel build just about finished, to be used for hog hunting, just need to figure out what muzzle device to put on it and what bolt to use.

I'm going back & forth between a Maxim NiB coated bolt or a JP Enterprises bolt. Pretty sure I won't go wrong with either, but wanted to see if any here had a preference between them. The barrel is an AR Performance (I know.)

As for muzzle device, I want something relatively lightweight (ideally ~ 3oz or less...) that will tame recoil a bit while not clearing out the lanes around me if I shoot it at an indoor range. Also, has to be nitride or DLC (or similar) coated. No phosphate/black oxide. Just a personal preference thing. I know the Grendel doesn't recoil much but I have this stock on it https://www.cobaltkinetics.com/produ...l-billet-stock
Modern day metal buttplate, so to speak.

Ended up going with the Maxim bolt. Still undecided on the muzzle device at the moment but current top contenders are the Daniel Defense Extended Superior Suppression Device & the BRT Covert Comp.

I have built two now , a long range yote gun and a hog buster/bear, wild dog type thing, I went with one of the Kac flash cans, seems to be a little more friendly to those I hunt with, other than that I would goe with the standard old A2 style

Ordered a Wilson Combat Q Comp. Aesthetically & functionally should work just right with this build.

Only things unordered for it are a forward assist, scope, scope mount & BUIS.

It never ends...
