Still need to work up a good match load. Any favorites? She does not like the loads for my other 30-06 rifles.
1943 Smith Corona
Re-furbed by the Ogden Utah arsenal
Has a color matching Remington bolt assembly (All Rem but the firing pin.)
Too bad she does not have a color matching Smith Corona X marked bolt assembly, but what the heck.... So far the best group I can get from her is just under 2 inches at 100 yards.

I could really use one of the USMC over-sized front sight protectors.

I need one of the oversized USMC front sight protectors.

Nice Rifle, looks like the front sight has put on some chest hair over the years LOL. Group is good she's a shooter!

.

Two inches is the best I've ever been able to get out of mine. But here lately I'm really straining to see a target at 100 yards. It doesn't matter, I still enjoy shooting it.

Here is a arsenal rebuilt Remington.

The fuzzies were pre-cleaning...Just as I took her out of the box...
And of course I broke the darn crimp on sight protector while trying to get it off.

So now I am looking for the oversized USMC target version...

Skidooman: It is a pretty nice stock.. And the diamond mark wth number ahead of the trigger guard means it was a Smith Corona stock..
Here is the OG stamp for the Ogden Utah Arsenal. And the barrel band detent spring has the rounded edges like I think it is supposed to have. I think the Remingtons were squared..
