1911 10mm wide body

Greetings all,

Now that the ban is ending, I would love to get a 10mm 1911 wide body with 6" barrel and slide. Does anyone know of any manufacturers of custom shops that would produce this.

Also, does anyone know if the Wilson KZ45 could be altered to take 10mm. I figure if the mag could hold 10 .45's, it should be able to at least hold 12 10mm rounds.

As far as factory guns go, if you are willing to go with the 2011-style polymer double stacks, SVI and also probably STI would be able to fix you up. STI seems to have an active "custom shop" and SVI is practically a nothing but a custom shop.

If you are into the metal-framed variety, that would seem to be a gunsmith-only operation.

Para has their P16 frame and Dan Wesson has a Global Hunter 6" longslide. Could give them a call and see what they say as far as just buying parts.
