Hello friends and neighbors // Any Gun that was manufactured in 1911, photos appreciated.

I'd like to see which ones have stood up to the test of time.
I only have two actually manufacured in 1911.

1) Remington Model 4. 1890-1933 ,,Rolling Block, .22s-l-lr , single shot, takedown (lever)

Still works well enough to bag an occasional squirrel out to 30 yrds using .22lr and it handles .22shorts easily if a few folks want to take a shot or ten.

2) Remington Model 12, 1909-1936 ,, Slide action, .22s-l-lr, tube fed, takedown(screw)

This old faithful feeds and ejects like new but the barrel has little rifling left and tumbling is an issue. Still great for a day of plinking but the condition/patina is too nice to take it into the woods anymore.

I thought I had one more but wanted to check the data again.

Mauser Model C96 , 1896-1937 ,, Semiauto , 7.63 X 25mm Mauser , clip fed box mag.

This " Broomhandle" Manuf in 1911 was AKA the M1898, the first model with an attachable shoulder stock that also doubled as a holster.

Mine has been flawless in function after 65 rounds.
With the shoulder stock attached it is very accurate out to 50yards and impressively powerful with at least a 10"L x 8"w blossom of flame.
I'm keeping the brass and will eventually make up some lighter loads than available.

Several friends and I shot it last weekend, just a few rounds each.
I especially like someones first time, last weekend it was a friends 24yr old son. The look and smile were unforgettable, it is always a crowd pleaser. The accuracy helps a lot in giving a first time shooter some satisfaction.
