1911 Ejector stud removal?

My 1915 Remington 1911 .45ACP has sheared the front stud from the ejector. How does one remove this from the frame? It is hardened metal and will not drill with anything I have (tried that--no success) It is seheared off flush with the frame so no possibility of grabbing it with anything. Suggestions? advise?
