I finally opened up the wallet and picked up an Ed Brown the other day. It's actually my 5th 1911 that I've owned but I sold the first one & have one up for sale now that should be gone shortly, so below is a picture of the 3 keepers:

• Ed Brown
• S&W PC1911
• Remington R1 Carry Commander

Yes, it’s as sweet as I imagined, got it out to the range briefly on Sunday & shot a ragged 2” hole at 12 yards.

I’m not the first owner so the gun has been fired although you couldn’t tell by look or feel. Had no problems w 200 gr reloads, factory HST’s, & 230 gr ball.

I like your thinking! In fact, I have a 4th listed for sale that I’ve about decided to withdraw & keep. It’s a good shooter & I already sold a Dan Wesson revolver & an AR10 to pay for the Ed Brown.
