1911Sc: To Buy or not to buy

I've wanted a 1911Sc for a while to serve as a lightweight fullsize carry pitol. Despite wanting one it is currently towards the bottom of my wants list. I have a 4" Kimber doing carry duty right now. With the $100 SW rebate I've thought about picking one up. I've got the cash but it'd take away from something else (Rami and LCP). What say THR; get it due to the rebate or just wait and pay full price?

Ehh a $100 rebate isn't that big of a deal when talking about higher end guns. I mean I guess it would be enough to throw on some night sights, but I'd save your money and get what you really want. If you want the 1911Sc then go for it. On the flipside, you already have a Kimber 1911 that you are comfortable carrying. Maybe you should get that LCP for only $300 and you'd still have enough left over for another gun like a Glock, M&P, XD, Rami, etc.

Then again...

The 1911SC will not get any less expensive in future...Might like it better than the Kimber...(Scary thought...)
