1955 Target

Kinda.......but you said not many were made. I have seen letters on 3 different models and production figures aren't listed. The factory most likely doesn't know since the model has had such a long run and the model was popular. They are great guns but don't be mistaken in thinking that there are not many around.

You still haven't proved me wrong untill you show us how many were made. My statement is as accurate as yours till you prove me wrong:neener:

Maybe you could list all the guns by caliber made since the 1955 target started. Then you would know if what you say is true.

How many;

38s
357s
44special
44mags
45acp

Certianly Smith would know how many guns in each caliber were made.:D:D

Funny how Smith knows how many 27s they made and even have registered letters for the early models yet they don't seem to know how many 25s were made:banghead: By the way how many 27s were made compared to 25targets, more 27 or 25 targets???

Try contacting the factory or the historian Roy Jinks and ask them how many models were made. You might be surprised at the answer, but if you believe only a very few M25-2s were made then so be it. We just have opposing opinions. The M27 was/is a more popular gun plus the Registered Magnum started life in 1935 a full 20 years before the Model of 1955 so it stands to reason that there are more .357s than .45s.

BTW...Registered Magnums were basically custom guns from the factory. They were built for a specific buyer who chose options from a list when they ordered the gun. The registration sheet provided the info on that specific revolver.

I must now beg for forgiveness for hijacking this thread.
