2 1/2 inch shells

I am thinking about getting an old 12 gauge, chambered for 2 1/2 inch shells. Can this size shell be found nowadays?

Yes they can but its not like you can run to Walmart and get them. I've got a Winchester M12 in 16ga that has the short chamber. I get shells for it at Cabelas and they"re made by Gamebore. I think I only paid $7 or $8 for them too which I thought was pretty reasonable for Cabelas! If there is no Cabelas nearby you may need to chack with a local gunshop. I bet they could order them.

Polywad makes a variety of 2 1/2" ammo, in 12 and 16 gauge. So does Gamebore as said, and some specialty houses carry English ammo in that size.

MEC will sell you a loader set up for the shorter hulls.
