I had heard recently, but not from a necessarily credible source, that the reason for this recent run on ammunition and components was because the legislation proposed a Federal permit to purchase ammunition as well as bullets, brass, primers, powder, etc. Also, a Federal buyback of assault weapons.

From what I can see, this recent legislation contained no provisions relative to firearms, positive or negative. Is this correct or did I miss it in the fine print?

Here is what I received in my e-mail from Ben Dorr @ Minnesota Gun Rights....

Dear B--------------------------

Since our alert about the draconian H.R. 5717/S. 3254 went out yesterday, thousands of Minnesotans have been fighting back, flooding Washington, D.C. with emails and calls!

But if you missed our alert or forgot to send your email, I need you to take action immediately.

Senator Elizabeth Warren and dozens of crazy socialists in Washington are hoping that with Americans distracted by the Coronavirus, she can advance this monster gun control bill.

Red Flag Gun Seizures.

Taxing guns sales at 30%.

Rationing gun sales to 1 per month.

Requiring a national license to buy firearms.

Banning the AR-15 and all mags that hold over 10 rounds.

Plus....
We will be breaking this bill down in the coming days, but you should know H.R. 5717/S. 3254 is the ‘kitchen sink’ of gun control bills.

If passed, this legislation would:

>>> Create a national permit to buy a gun
>>> Establish a nationwide gun registry
>>> Institute a national ‘Red Flag Gun Seizures’ law
>>> Ban virtually every semi-automatic rifle in the country
>>> Make it a felony to buy a ‘high capacity’ magazine
>>> Tax guns at 30% and ammo at 50%
>>> Put you in jail for buying more than 1 gun a month
>>> Force you to lock up your firearms at all times
>>> Criminalize the sale of firearms to Americans under 21
>>> Ban the sale of suppressors
>>> Make it a crime to build a firearm in your own home

And that’s just the start, as this gun control monstrosity is a whopping 111 pages long!

Is this what you heard?
Hope this helps.........

Use care,
B.L.

The above proposed bill is downright scary, but it was not part of the CVD19 stimulus bill.

I'm pretty sure that, if there had been any gun-control provisions in it, I would have heard about them. Tucker and Sean would have been screaming about it.
