I received my Midway order this weekend. Bought some Hornady cases, 32 and 40 gr VMax bullets, a powder funnel with .17 extension and dies. Have not yet ordered the .17-.204 insert for the case fed powder drop. I've never charged a case with a funnel before in 30,000 rounds loaded. I'd even lost my powder pan from the digital scale. Cut off the handle of a measuring spoon.

I loaded 150 rounds this weekend with the 32 gr VMax and 27 gr Varget as per the Hodgdon site for starting loads. I thought that the process was pretty slow without the case activated powder drop working. i sized and primed cases qith one run, Took the primed cases and cleaned off the lube and then charged them with the funnel. Back into the press for the bullet seating.

One thing I did notice was that I was getting exact loads every time. I might need to rethink this a bit for the rifles in the future. Looking forward to trying these out with the new CZ 527 Varmint. Didn't get any better than 1" with the factory loads during break-in. Interested to see the difference with the hand loads.

I use Varget and BLC-2 to load .308 win. and have no complaints, BLC-2 meters very well.
