It's really going to depend on the batch. The Aguila Supermax 30 grainers are the fastest advertised (though not the most powerful), but varied wildly from shot to shot. I found the CCI stingers (32 gr.) to be much more consistent, running very near their 1,640 FPS advertised velocity.
honestly i prefer standard or subs for the most part, but since "standard" high velocities are cheap i use them for plinking. Ive never gotten decent accuracy from the hyper velocities, and they cost about twice as much as everything else out here, so i dont use them.
This is somewhat common. The only ones I found to shoot well were the Remington Vipers, but they're a truncated cone solid point, and are a heavier (36 gr.) bullet going a little slower (1,400 FPS) than the Aguilas or Stingers.
In my M&P 15-22, the Aguila Hyper Velocity 30 grain rounds were absolutely the fastest over the chrono and likewise the worst grouping of the various rounds I have tried.
