.22 shorts or CB caps in a Stallion

Need to dispatch some vermin and critters. Can i safley shoot .22 short or CB's in my Uberti Stallion without hurting the chamber. These will be very close up shots in a trap.
 
Yes. Depending on what you are needing to dispatch. You may be able to use shot shells like this.

Yes, 22 Longs have the same case length as a 22 Long Rifle.

But, as said, a 22 Short will not harm the chamber, it just may need to be cleaned out so that the longer case will chamber.

Many older rifles are often roll marked chambered for 22 Short, 22 Long and 22 Long Rifle.
 
Because both these rounds are meant to be used in rifles too, I would have no concern about a bullet getting stuck in a pistol barrel. I have used both 22 Shorts and the "CB Shorts" in a rifle with no problems.

I have a 70 yr. old .22 auto blowback and as written on the barrel .22 short, .22 long. .22 long rifle, only .22 LR as auto.
