.223 and blue dot

Overheard an interesting one today-

Something along the lines of 11-14 grains of blue dot for functional .223


Anyone else ever heard this, or even better, tried it ?

No way in heck im trying to make a full house .223 load with bluedot.

Yes, I have tried BD loads in 223, 7.62 x 39, 30-06 and 7mm-08. Extremely accurate and very soft shooting.

Unlike what that article says, I have been to James Calhoon a couple times in Havre Montana and his name is James Leahy.
