Can someone calculate the muzzle velocity for the following load? My computer with load calc expired.

27.5 grains IMR 4320
45 gr Sierra Hornet bullet #1210
24” barrel
1/14” twist
COL - I brain farted COL and can’t remember. But it is short.

Don't know of such a calculator, but according to Hodgdon's reloading data it should be around 3300 fps.

Thank you very much. The load book I was using used a mini 14 with a 1/10 twist. I can’t remember what barrel length.
Thanks again.

Thanks. I was away from my manuals and couldn't remember the barrel length of the mini-14. I remembered the 1/10 twist.
I used hodgdon online, they show a 24" 12 twist, you may gain a couple fps with that 14 that's the only variable of your data I can't put into the calculator.

With 14 twist, i think you are good too kill a fox. LOL.i think i you get more than 3300fps, maybe untill 3500. Powder is suitable, maybe a litlebit too slow, soo load it too under the neck and weight it.

Thanks CZ. This load is more about getting as close to regulating to the zero on the shotgun barrel of this combination gun then it is for performance. The gun was bought as a varmint gun. Shotgun up close, 223 a little further out. As it is I can get pretty close using a 35 yard zero on the 12 gauge. Two more steps on the rear sight and the two would be regulated to each other. Not sure I can do it with the powder I’m using.

As it is I’m in the field fall turkey hunting (fool’s errand) with it. The 223 a backup for any varmint, including bobcat and mountain lion, that come along. I’ve killed both my bobcats with a deer rifle (270 & 30-40 Krag) while deer hunting. Both times I wished I’d had a shotgun with me. Though I’d never plan to shoot a deer with a 223.
