Which 22lr ammunition would y'all recommend for coyote ?
Ok, black sheep here, as long as they're in range, fast 36 gr hp or 40 gr (including fed automatch) rn have been used to great success through the ribs, head, and throat here. .410 with fast 4 and 6 shot too for that matter, get good and stay on target, the rest is just wind.

I have killed several 1000 lb cows, one unfortunate horse, and many butcher pigs with a .22, but never at any more than 10 ft, and I knew I could hit what was necessary. Although it worked, it wasn't impressive - just neater than our other choices at the time. That doesn't make it a moose cartridge. I don't believe coyotes are any less entitled to a quick and humane death than any other animal. For that reason alone, I would never shoot any .22RF at a coyote over 30, maybe 50 yards away. VERY short range is the only way that a .22RF is suitable for coyotes and pulling the trigger at any longer ranges is just animal cruelty.
