.22lr single shot target rifle

I just want a fun, hopefully inexpensive single shot .22lr rifle to work on my aim. Iron sights preferred. This is for a buy say, 6 months from now, so don't need to have "its $300 here" type posts, just wanting to see what is out there and how much am I looking at spending for this. Can be preowned.

"you can find them used for around $400" is fine, but didn't want folks to search me the best deal when I am not going to buy it anytime soon.

Unless you plan to spend near 4 figures you can't do much better than a cz 452. If you want iron sights go with the full stock model. A beautiful rifle for under 400 that rivals those costing twice as much and more for accuracy. And no it isn't limited to single shot, comes with a 5 shot mag which you don't have to use.

The CMP has Mossberg M44US bolt action rifles on sale. They should last a couple months and are only $175 + shipping. They are out of 7-round magazines already. They can be bought elsewhere though.

It is inexpensive and from what I read, shoots well. Mine should show up sometime early next week.
