270 winchester reloading part II

Received all the items discussed in part I plus a few others. Got the Hornaday CAPD changeover for my uniflow. I will NOT be trying to install that until I fully understand what those instructions are trying to tell me to do! Plan on using the Lee Classic turret without auto advance (single stage), but can the 270 win be loaded using the auto advance? Went with the H4831SC for the powder, Hornaday 130gr SP and CCI primers. Any other suggestions?? aj b

I am using the set up you talk about with the Lee Turret. I prefer not to use the auto advance though however and do all my reloading in single stages.

Although the auto advance can be utilized, for bolt action rigs a single stage is probably a better option in my opinion. I find that loading for cartridges of this size and purpose can be performed with greater attention to detail and precision with a single stage press. But to each his own, and I'm sure auto advance would speed up the process some what, not that you would want to for such bottle neck cartridges of this catagory.
