Here is a video we all need to see...

Some of you may have seen it and I am sure some have not!

http://youtu.be/2diNojgJF9c

This video is a real eye opener to me. I am almost 50 years old and I have children in the age bracket of most of these people that sign the (fake) petition under explained consequences. :uhoh:

It made me realize that that particular age group not only do not realize the predicament they are in, but it is also that age group that we older generations are vehemently fighting to save their rights and freedoms for.

It is this age group that will be the most likely to prosper or suffer for the outcome of the attacks on Americas freedoms.

I would love to have been engaging these people that signed this petition after they signed it. It is my thought that the majority of the ones that signed it could not even explain the purpose of the Constitution, The Bill of Rights, or the Second Amendment.

This video showed me where I need to logically discuss Americas Freedoms and what is at stake now for future generations.

(Might I add that yes this was in California, but Cali bashing is not my intended outcome, because the uninformed are not just in California)

I'm 24 years old, and I talk to people in their 40's who don't know anything about the constitution. Stupis is everywhere, but i definitely understand what you're saying. Not many people my age know anything in regards to our true rights and but instead things they want handed to them. But I do also have friends who DO know what our constitution is about... Rest assured, my daughter will be correctly educated, not indoctrinated about our god-given rights.

Trickydick .... That makes me very happy. You are the age of my youngest and my kids know what is at stake as well.

And I hope no one takes my post as an attack on that age group, just seems to many of the younger are not thinking for themselves or the consequences of an action.

Don't worry Tom, there's quite a few young individuals who understand the value of liberty. Remember this video was produced as a shock segment, naturally all the parts where people told him to bugger off were cut out, and only the dumbest and juiciest parts were left in.

I have no idea where this was conducted, but the background certainly looks like the Santa Monica pier in LA, CA if that tells you something about the petition signers. Just remember... That where jane fonda lived in the 1960's early 1970's (Give or take) during Viet Nam and while she was married to a CA state legislator. And Santa Monica is even more liberal extremist now than what it was then.

I'm of the younger generation and a CA native, and I don't support know-nothing nonsense. People will do what makes them feel good if they absorb too much media nonsense and don't stop, think and read thoughts to the contrary. Thankfully, you can counter nonsense, but to do so takes lots of energy. But it is totally worth it!

Its not really an age group thing. There was an older guy who eagerly signed, and a younger girl who refused.

I have a print of the Bill of Rights on my wall. I'm always shocked by my visitors who ask, "Why do you want that on your wall?" I'm shocked when people think the first amendment applies to twitter and facebook, but the second amendment only applies to muskets.

What is really scary is that if this was a REAL petition, he would easily gather enough signatures. People didnt seem to care that he said all the bad guys get to keep their guns, as long as the good guys turn theirs in.

I'm apalled at how many people are unaware that freedom is not guaranteed safe.

One of the best solutions I've found to gun ignorance is to invite out friends who have never fired a gun to the range. Yes, it costs me ammo, but I've won over some former non-owners. Once you immerse someone in something as vital and as interesting as firearms, it is hard to go back. That's why the hardcore gun owners are very outspoken. Once you know, you can't unknow how important protecting your rights are. Freedom never gets a night off from being fought for and maintained.

I'll bash Cali if you won't.

If anyone has a right, I do. My family has resided in the Santa Barbara Area since 1690! That's not a typo.

I've seen this state turn in to an addle-brained utopia for all that is deviate from Frisco to Hollyweird, from Humboldt to The City of Nights.

When a city can give sanctuary to murderers who subsequently commit further atrocities while at the same time shunning our own Navy and fighting Men and Women, something has gone rotten in the apple barrel.

In the mid 80's my Grandmother Nanette told me "Davey, the Devil is on the loose"

I am glad she is no longer around to witness this, bless Her soul.

We can afford 30 million for some salt marsh mouse and millions upon millions for the transformation of a damn creek in my hood for a salmon cozy while our Governor "MOONBEAM" runs a 127 Billion dollar deficit.

Rant off.
