Hello folks, got a question for you this morning. I have an Saginaw .30 Carbine due in Monday and need some thoughts from you that have/do use the little Lee Loader. I am not what you would call a shooter but I do like to pop a few ocassionally and cannot justify one of the nice bench type reloaders. I know the Lee Loader has been around for a long time and would like input from you that have experience with it. I think at $21 plus change, and positive input from you might give one of these a try to load a few and maybe even another for my Savage Model 10 in .223.

Thanks, J.C.

By loader I assume you mean a press? I have a little lee hand press, works great if your not reloading huge batches at a time.

No not one you hit, just a little c frame with a lever. I resize magnum brass with it with no problems. I recommend the hand press to anyone starting out.

If you're talking about the Lee Hand Press Natchezz has it for sale at $24.99 their part number Lee90685.

They also have the Lee reloader press w/Manualfor $29.49, part Number lee90700.

Both work about the same, myself I'd go with the one that bolts down, to me it better than trying to juggle everything. This can be bolted to a flat piece of wood then C-Clamped where ever you may want it. The manual alone is worth more than the $5.00 extra.

Note one thing with carbine brass be sure to lube before resizing.

The U.S. Carbine is one of my

favorite plinking rifles.

Hope this helps.

for as few round as I would be willing to reload with the hand press I would just as soon buy ammo. if I was going to reload any more I would get a turret press.

I have 2 turret presses but use 2 single stage presses. I use the Lee classic for resizing and the little Lee "C" press for seating bullets. I know this somewhat slower than a turret press but I'm retired and enjoy the relaxed speed. Spent my whole life running on the treadmill, its time to sloooow down. And yes I load in quanity, anywhere from 500 to 1,000 rds in one evening.

BTW ljnowell what is.34acp???

OK been their and done that myself.
I learned to type on a manual and still can't get used to electronic.
On top of that have had 1 finger shortened in a punch press and on the other hand had 2 fingers reattached after being ripped out of my hand (OUCH--%$##&^#* that hurt) doesn't help either.
