$300 NRA life membership

I posted this at two other forums today and got 11 new life members signed up in 2 hours.

There is strength in numbers and the NRA is the big dog on the block. When they bark people listen. When it comes time to stand up and be counted we will have 5 million plus with us.

A sponsor gets nothing but the satisfaction of helping the cause. If want a sponsor contact one of the many who said they would help. Don't put the burden on them to PM you, you need to PM them first and ask for their info.

Whether they are effective is probably debatable. Personally, I agree with their platform a LOT more than the NRA's. The NRA seems to be more inclined to just slow the erosion of our 2A rights instead of fighting to take them back to what the Founding Fathers intended.

This doesn't appear to be my observation. The NRA-ILA knows how to play the political game. And it is a game. Not unlike how anti-gun folks use an incremental approach to implement gun control (to the ultimate end goal of disarmament), we have to use the same incremental approach to restore freedoms (to the ultimate end goal of making the 2nd Amendment once again the law of the land).

I've heard it argued that the NRA doesn't really want to win the battle with the leftists since that would mean that the NRA would be out of a job. Is it true? I don't know, but when in doubt, "just follow the money" might be a good rule to live by. Yeah, I'm a skeptic -- probably about everything in life. I'm too old to believe *anything* at face value anymore.

That seems silly to me. The job is far from over. People need the education and knowledge not to be fooled into thinking that gun control weakens criminals instead of empowering them (and weakening the law abiding).
