Good evening everyone,

I was looking through Basspro and noticed they had Hornady 32acp HP bullets. I purchased a box of 100, looking at the description wrong. Yes it is 100 bullets, but at 100 grains each.

I looked in the online sites (Hodgdon and Alliant) and of course, they don't have load data for bullets as heavy as 100 grain for 32acp (60 and 71 grains are listed for 32acp.

I was going to reload ammo for my Beretta 32acp because i like to have some good SD ammo saved for my firearms. 32acp SD ammo is very difficult to come by, so seeing HP bullets I grabbed them before looking too much. The 100gr bullets don't come up until I look at the 32 H&R Magnum I'm starting to see that there are quite a bit of different types 32 bullet types, unlike 9mm & 45acp.

If not, well I'll just keep them on hand and trade them at a later date.

TIA

CH

Nothing but 60 grain XTP load data for 32 ACP in that manual. Those 100 grain bullets appear in the load data for the 327 Federal Magnum.

That's what I saw as well.
I was hoping someone had some information from past experience.

Ah well, it wasn't a big loss. Maybe I'll find a 327 at a good price one day. Lol

Thx.

The Hornady 85 and 100 Gr bullets are for .32 Long & Mag, and may work in .327 Fed, don't know about that, they pre-date it though. I have a few of each. They have a cannelure for a reason.

The Hornady 60 Gr XTP shoots great in .32 ACP, the 71 Gr FMJ shoots well too. I have bought pulled HPs from RMR that shot great too. Still have a few.

The Berrys 71 Gr RN shoots OK, not my first choice.

The Magtech 71 Gr RN shoots well.

I like the .32 ACP, but I like the .32 Mag as well, and now you have the perfect excuse to start looking for one.
