Corbon 125 gr DPX fired from 4" S&W Model 13 and 16" Rossi Model 92 into calibrated 10% gelatin.
BB: 592.8 fps, 3.6"
Impact velocity: 1,314 fps
Penetration: 14" of gelatin and less than 6" of water jug.
Retained weight: 125.0 gr
Max expansion: 0.633"
Min expansion: 0.419"
A few excuses, I mean explanations:
I forgot to place the denim. Penetration with denim would likely be slightly greater but I've never seen DPX have any trouble at all expanding with heavy clothing. The shot from the carbine angled sharply downward and put a hole through the table. The bullet was found lying on the tarp. The data from that test would be invalid so I have not posted it.
If you look closely at the high speed starting at 0:33, you can actually see the bullet pass through the jug.
