.357 mag vs. .41 mag for SD

I have a 357 mag snubbie that I load with jacketed hollow points (Magtech, Blazer and Hornady ballistic tip). I would be confident that snubbie could take care of anything I needed it to, including the cougars (4 legged kind) we used to run into at my old house.

Just not easy to get rounds or bulletts for even if you reload, you are getting yourself into a situation where it may get harder to find the things you need, we just had this discussion last week in the car on the way to a show. The guys I was with both reload, and they felt it was just a hassle, the 357 will give you the same result without the aggravation.

I realize you said you reload, but say you are not near your stash and all of a sudden you need to get ammo at some podunk hardware store...they prob wont have .41 mag

ammo commonality is your friend...thats why me my dad and my brother all hunt w/ 270s and carry 9's

Thanks for all the responses folks. Some interesting points, and good opinions on both sides. I'm thinking I'm going to have to just get both ;)
