.357 Sig Speculation

I picked up a boatload of 357 Sig brass a while back and then a M&P 40 C and kept my eye out for a 357 Sig barrel and 9mm barrel. I love the versatility - and frankly, I love the 357 Sig. It is snappy - but not outrageously so. That being said (and to the OP's point), I think the recent "popularity" is merely a function of availability. People showed up and found the only thing available was a 357 Sig, so they bought it. There might have been a few people that "always wanted one, so I guess I better buy one" - but that was maybe 1-2% of purchasers. Anyway, that's my opinion, which is worth exactly nothing.

I have a .357 Sig G32 and a 10MM G20 and actually like the size of the G32 for IWB carry over the G20 OWB carry. As for performance, I prefer the G32 in the winter for personal protection when people layer up here in cold weather. I’m sure I can carry the G20 in winter as well but the G32 is a bit more comfortable. I’ll carry the G20 out in the wilderness and the G32 in the city.

I’m still working up reloads for the G32 so for now I use Underwood ammo for personal protection.

As for the OP, I think people are just buying whatever they can get their hands on, even if it’s an unpopular caliber like the .357 Sig.
