Hi, guys... a question for anyone loading for .38 Super, using Vihtavuori powder. I've got a couple pounds of N105 and they list a load with a 130 grain bullet.

Has anyone used N105 for anything as light as a 115 grain bullet?

I ask because the starting to max load range is very small with a 130 grain bullet. The starting load recommended for 130 grain is 9.3 and the max load is only 9.6.

Not sure if I should extrapolate and use this powder for a 115 grain bullet. Anybody got some wise words?

Thanks a lot.

Well, obviously the 130 Gr data would be safe for a 115 Gr bullet loaded no deeper than the 130, so use it, and, if you want to, work up over that .1 Gr at a time if you feel comfortable doing so. I haven't used it with a 115 Gr, IIRC, but there is no reason it shouldn't work OK. I use 3N37 in .38 Super with 1 124/5 Gr bullet, although I have tried a 115.
