I just bought 2 kegs of AA2230 form powdervalley and I have been useing it for my .223 and I love it. Has anyone used it to load up some 45-70 loads? I dont want max pressure loads, but I do want something with a good pop. Gonna be fired in my Marlin 1895G, so dont worry about me trying to stuff it in an old trapdoor Springfield.

BOB- I shoot 44gr A2230c behind a 405 gr. FP gas checked cast bullet in my Marlin 1895. Have had very good results with this load. Took a cow Buffalo about a month ago and dropped her in her tracks. I have not done any chrony work with the load but my 100 yard groups stay around 2 to 3 inches. Good enough for factory sights and cast bullets. I also use A2230c in both my Rem. .222 and my 22-250. Have not found any powder that will do any better for groups and the price is unbeatable although powdervalley has another Accurate powder called (73) that they have a limited supply of and after it sells out there will be no more. I bought 16 pounds and find it to be very good in both my 222 and 22-250.
