1. This custom mold maker has some .454 molds in his catalog which consists of molds with spec.'s that others have designed or ordered.
He can also work with you to help design a mold based on altering a current design or your own, you pick which alloy and how many cavities.
His single mold price is $75.50 plus shipping.
However if you read it all, it will state that spec.'s can end up being within plus or minus .00X tolerance.
The catalog molds with .454 spec.'s begin on page 14:--->>> http://www.accuratemolds.com/catalog.php?page=14

2. Cast a larger bullet from a Lee .456 bullet mold and resize it using a sizing die which can be found relatively cheap.
Some outfits can make simple push through sizing dies to your spec.'s:--->>> https://leeprecision.com/mold-d-c-456-220-1r.html

3. There are ways to open up or enlarge a .452 mold so that it will cast larger bullets.
Use a different alloy, or as some have said that a thin piece of foil [or metal shims] can be placed on the inside flat of the mold to prevent
it from closing all of the way to make the casting a larger size.
Or if really wanting to experiment consider polishing out an aluminum .452 mold using a Dremel tool, felt polishing tip and polishing media to increase the bullet diameter.

Why do you want 0.454 ?
0.452 has been the (45 Colt) standard since after WW-II
.452 drops right into the cartridge case with no help. The Uberti 45 LC takes .454 both in ball and bullet ammo
Uberti Colt is an exact replica of the original 45 colt Walker which took .454

Oh,also I'm using a cylinder conversion. Using 5 grs. of Trail Boss smokeless powder. Cylinder will fire full loads of smokeless powder, its not the cylinder that won't take full loads the weak spot is the frame.. So if you use the conversion keep the powder light.! The conversion cylinder allows one to use cowboy loads. Works great. I also use my stock bp cyl. when I really want to have fun.

Mark Whyte offers the 250 grain PRS big lube in .454.

I personally shoot the 200 grain J/P .452 in the Cimarron/Uberti all the time with good accuracy so I have to question that you really NEED .454 however there are some people that want them and Mark said that's why he offers the PRS that way.

Depends on the particular gun. Barrel diameters have been standardized, but chamber mouths can be all over the map. Many Colt SAA chamber mouths-both 2nd & 3rd Gen.- can run to .456 or larger. If that is the case, it is better to size the bullet to closer to chamber mouth size. I use .45 bullets from a variety of molds but they all get sized to .454, this in both Colt and Uberti guns in 45 Colt. Accuracy will almost always be better when the bullet slugs up to fill that chamber mouth.

Are you resizing the cases with modern dies? Standard sizing dies reduce the case to grip the smaller bullets.

That said, if the cylinder throats and/or barrel are 0.454” then the larger bullets will be best. BTW, putting metal spacers between the mould halves only makes the bullet larger in one dimension, resulting in a bullet which is no longer round.

You might want to take Articap's suggestion but think about this particular bullet design and weight http://www.accuratemolds.com/bullet_detail.php?bullet=45-205A-D.png As it gives you a light .454 bullet, so..., you get the diameter needed for your barrel BUT you reduce the pressure on the frame to the minimum when you load "cowboy" loads for the conversion cylinder.

Most of mine, all from at least forty years ago, throw out at about .454-.455. Cast. tumble, load, shoot. 454190, 454424, couple others.

The Lyman 454190 is available from Midway:--->>> https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1...0-45-caliber-454-diameter-250-grain-flat-nose

The 454424 seems to be a vintage Ideal mold of a Kieth Bullet also available from Arsenal Molds as a new mold.

There's 3 used Ideal 454424 molds currently on eBay with the same basic description as the Arsenal Mold. Here's one:--->>> https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ideal-4544...h=item5465f5e107:g:o8wAAOSwZtRb7ayb:rk:1:pf:0

The Arsenal Arms 454424 cast bullet weighs 5 grains more and their website has a nice diagram of it with spec.'s:--->>> http://arsenalmolds.com/45-Keith-Bullet

1. Ignoring anything associated w/ the original percussion cylinder ball size, have you slugged the barrel ?
2. Have you determined the conversion cylinder throat diameter ?

Did you size them? even new cases should be ran through a sizing die.
I sized them after reading your suggestions and yes you were right the .454 dia. now fit properly. I thought this had already been done because they were new. Guess I was wrong and learned a valuable lesson.. Thanks Cliff
