I had a clip full of theses in a pistol that I had traded for a few years back. I traded it since then, never fired it, "it apeared unfired", and discarded the ammo just because it said 45 super and I didn't know the guy I traded, and I never shoot ammo I am unsure of.
So I googled it and remembered part of what I was reading from years back when some company was doing conversions on 45's to 45 super as I read the results.
How dangerous would that stuff have been to shoot out of a S&W 45, CS model? Just curious now since I saw someone asking a question about "acp". Would it be like firing a plus p plus out of a gun rated for regular old 38 specials. Would it be catastrophic. Or just on a continual basis like carrying a plus p in a gun that probablly can take it as long as you don't make a steady habit of it.
I am glad I really looked at the rounds because it's just the preassure that makes it a "super" they say on the site I was looking at that these run at 1300 ft per second. And what ever happened to the concept, were there too many other calibers to make this an expensive transition with little upside? appreciate your thoughts.

I don't know much about the gun in question, but I have been told that 45 super is ok in certain guns such as the HK usp, and the full sized glocks, in moderation of course.

I know that people do 1911 conversions by installing heavier recoil springs and frame buffers.

my gut is that a magazine will not hurt anything, but I'm neither a gunsmith or engineer, so I probably wouldn't try it.

If this is a true .45 Super load, I think it would batter the little aluminum-framed CS to death in short order. Maybe your hand will give up first and save your gun. :p I would also expect malfunctions due to the fast cycling.
