Whos got a Browning/Miroku Model 71 converted to 450 Alaskan????
I'm wondering if this is the cure to difficult to find/limited option 0.348" bullets. The 0.458" bullets are much more available and more options because of 45-70.
I'm concerned trajectory may be poor compared to the 35 cal, but I haven't read into or looked at trajectories yet. Its basically a 150yd gun for me with open sights.
I'm also wondering if I can use a 1886 45-70 barrel on my Model 71 after its reamed up to 450ai.
I'm concerned recoil will be SUBSTANTIALLY increased and need to shoot some 45-70 before I commit.
