I haven't. I have loaded and shot several boxes of Barnes 275gr TSX bullets and a bunch of others but not the 250gr TEZ. None-the-less the H110 should work well with that bullet. Hodgdon lists a starting load of 37.3gr and a MAX load of 41.0gr of H110 under Hornady's 250gr FTX. I would suspect your going to get slightly higher pressure due to the all copper construction and the TEZ being longer than the FTX but you could probably safety start at the minimum charge and work up slowly, chronographing as you go.

Haven't tried Barnes yet. Have used 41gr of H110 with 250 gr Hornady FTX's as mentioned by mcb. That recipe is about as close to Hornady's factory loads as I've found. Would be interested to see how the Barnes bullets work for you.

Open morning of deer gun season last year this particular 275 gr TSX @ about 20 yards went through a raccoon and nearly 3 feet of forest floor and I was lucky enough to recover it. Near perfect expansion and 100% weight retention. The raccoon took the experience very poorly. Hopefully this season will result in successful terminal testing on a deer.

im glad you said it was recovered in the forest floor, as I will be highly upset with any 450 bushy hunting load that I have where I recover the bullet in the deer. I want that exit hole blood trail.

Edit to ask: who in the he ll has time to dig in the dirt for a bullet designed for deer, shot through a raccoon? I envy your patience

I have a propensity to look, I love recovering bullets when I can, but in this case I got lucky. The raccoon was on a hill side below my deer stand so the bullet, after passing through the raccoon, hit the ground at a very shallow angle. When I got down to look at the dead raccoon I could clearly see the bullets impact point with the ground. The bullet went down 4-5 inches and had then turned and ran parallel to the surface of the ground. It sort of looked like a mole tunnel running away from the impact site. I simply move to the other end of the disturb dirt, dug down, and found the bullet at the end of the soften up dirt. Took me only a minute or two of digging to find it. I also got lucky that it hit no rocks, were I hunt in middle Tennessee our property is very rocky so it was a fortunate recovery.

that’s amazing. I do good to find my junk bolt when I fire off my crossbow to decock it when leaving the stand. And I know where I put it and what to look for.

I use to shoot core lokts ,for deer before I started reloading now I use the Barnes 150 ttsx in my 30-06 and love them . Now I have access to a 28 acre spot that’s kinda thick with hardwoods around and I bought the 450 bm just for that ,and have loaded the 275 tsx and expect same or better results with that bullet
