Here's to a happy Independents Day!

I'm going to celebrate by going out and enjoying my rights to bear arms.
I've loaded up some .357, .45, and some 7.62Nato just for this weekend, I even managed to get my hands on a few bowling pins for targets.

Hope you all have a safe one and take a minute to say thanks to the men who picked up their rifle and fought for our freedom.

We had a 2 day mounted shooting competition...FUN! And the announcer mentioned our 2A rights a few times. Had BBQ and a better fireworks show than most communities.

What a way to celebrate our Independence! In the shadow of the snowcapped Cascade Mts, riding in the Grand Entry to the theme from the Magnificent 7, right behind Ol' Glory.

Thank you Lord, and thank you all that preserve our freedom!

wont get out tomorrow but I shot about 300 rnds. .357mag and 200 9mm rnds. this moring. I love my birth state of NY like no other but nothing beats owning a gun you want and driving 5mi down the road and shooting it.

Took a friend out yesterday that purchased a new double shotty and had never fired it yet. She LOVED the thing.:D:D I also plan on shooting the snot out of a pile of BIG boomers with the extended family today at some Tannerite to celebrate the nations independence. Let us not forget about our neighbors in other countries that can only dream of the freedoms we Americans take for granted. My new goal is to have a cannon that will be able to shoot a golf ball for next years festivities.

I'm headin' out in about an hour, got my 9mm loaded up, 22 mag rifle, SKS, and my .308 remmy 700. Our property is one mile from the Pike Natl Forest and my shooting hole is 5 minutes away, doesn't get any better than that.

AR's, AK's several hundred rounds and 20#'s of Tannerite all in the privacy and shade of my big back yard. God bless America.

This is the one day out of the year that you can shoot the .22 in the back yard without alarming the neighbors as it sounds just like firecrackers. (Yes it is legal to shoot where I live)

The Preacher asked at Church yesterday what everyone was doing to celebrate our nation's birthday, I WANTED to say, "Buying ammo and gettin drunk" but I held my tongue (and of course still did it) :D

Well guys, I got a bit of a sun burn in the early afternoon, got a little rain middle afternoon, and spent all late afternoon playing with my toys.

Sounds like more than one, or two, of you also know how to do it right on our Independents Day. I'm glad to hear about others getting out and having fun!

wish I could've been home today. I don't think shooting fireworks from a drilling rig would go over real well. I would be a neat idea though :D

when to my club. had a potluck and the a birthday shoot that:
Starts with the Pledge of Allengince
Then a cannon shot and then
firing you bangsticks as fast and safely as you can, there was 1919 semi auto machine gun, 1911, 357 mag rifle. 50 cals, 44 mags, 9 mm. tannertie down range (BOOM).
i fired around 125 rounds in 5 minutes.
Then fired around 40 rounds from the 1919. Man i love that gun.
We finished with another cannon shot.

Came home and around dark the whole area was Boom. bang. crack. It sure put me in a peaceful mood with all the firworks, mortars and such.

Happy Birthday my love (America)

Miss the days when we used to go back behind the liquor store in NY and buy fireworks the guy got from Canada,

My wife and I invited some friends over to our house, all parents of teenage children. We shot .22 rifles and an assortment of handguns ranging from a little 9mm to a .454 Casull. A good, safe, and educational time was had by all. The kids all grinned from ear to ear after shooting the Casull. All in all it was a wonderful time.

we set up some old cantaloupes, honeydews, and watermelons, and we rattled off our two 9mms, my .40, and my 12 Gauge. Followed up with slow-smoked ribs, Watermelon that wasn't bullet-riddled, and ice cold beer. Really, not much you could do to make America's birthday better.

I went down to my buddys house with the .22, .40, my Mosin 91/30 and Chinese T53, my arms feel like boiled spaghetti noodles today, but a great day!
