I have been looking into the 5.11 Holster Shirt for another option for discreet carry. Does anyone currently use one? If so what are the pros and cons?

Just looking at the design, it looks like you'd have to be a rather chunky person and/or wear an oversized shirt to make that work. :scrutiny:

Wearing one right now at the office.

Pros: Capable of concealing any handgun I own, and I'm a skinny bastard. The Storm is a bit large and gets uncomfortable all day; The P22, P32, or anything smaller (or, I'd wager, anything in between like a compact 1911) is just fine.

The shirt is built like a tank, everything double or triple stiched, and the workmanship for an off-the-shelf shirt is impressive.

The multitude of pen pockets is cool.

The "document pockets" are useful for not only your gun (see above) but I keep my PDA in the side opposite my gun.

Cons: The buttons, especially the topmost collar button, are extremely stiff and hard to work into or out of their holes.

The fabric is very heavy and inflexible, but softens up with washing. I imagine in the summertime it would be pretty hot.

Apparently the white ones have been discontinued... :scrutiny:

Also, my black one seems to attract fuzz.

I think Fake Name is talking about the undershirt with a holster under the armpit, not the heavy duty 5.11 shirt with collars and flap pockets. I think there's an old thread on this by someone who had purchased it.

If I recall correctly, they liked some things about it but there was some problem that was not obvious. Perhaps the fabric next to the skin behind the holster was different than the rest of the fabric and was not comfortable.

I don't have one. I do have a couple of Kramer undershirt holsters, which have some benefits and drawbacks. I found it necessary to double-stick the holster pockets, and it is a very slow draw. It's pretty much for really deep concealment. And if someone hugs you, the game is up.
