5906 Date of manufacture

Bought this 5906 today. Can anyone tell me the date of manufacture? Serial is TDF45xx

Also anything I should know about this model, it has your basic iron rear sight but I though most of the novak rears. This is my first S&W 9mm. Been wanting one of these for years now.

SCSW 4 doesn't specify list TDF.... but looking at close triple alpha numbers puts it about 1989-90.

Novak sights are fairly common though a more basic fixed sight wouldn't surprise me. The adjustable sights are pretty common too.
