6.5 C Semi Autos

I’ve got a Falkor Defense Omega and I love it. Stupid accurate and dead nuts reliable, but it’s pricey. I also own a Palmetto State 6.5 CM and I spent less on it than I spent on the Vortex Razor that sits on top of my Falkor. That Palmetto will flat out shoot, but you’ll probably want to drop a different trigger in it and it does not feel as nice as the Falkor. I’ve got a buddy with an Aero Precision 6.5 CM that lived in my safe for over a year. It was not super impressive. It’s heavy. The trigger is heavy and the accuracy is not on par with the Falkor or the Palmetto.

The Falkor was on my bucket list and I don’t regret spending the money that I did on it, but if I was being practical, Palmetto State would get my money because of how well it shoots for the money spent. That target is three rounds from three different shooters off of a bipod at 100 yards from the $700 Palmetto State rifle. Ammo used was Hornady ELD 147 factory stuff. The two larger groups were fired by extremely inexperienced shooters.

I’ve heard nothing but good about the S&W Performance Center rifles. Daniel Defense stuff is always good. I’ve shot a 6.5 semi auto from Wilson Combat too and that was a very good shooting rifle with a great trigger, but I didn’t not believe it to be worth the sticker price. I think I’d rather buy a different rifle and throw the Wilson Combat trigger in it.

thats some good shootin, must be a good rifle too

Gracias, amigo. I think those groups could actually be tightened up a little with a better trigger. That PSA trigger, even the two-stage, is gritty and heavy for precision work. Five and ten round groups opened up a bit of course.
