About 3 months ago I had thought I had seen a 625 snub SC that looked like a "PD" i.e. black finish, fixed sights, 1 7/8" barrel. Needless to say it was in the shop for only 1 day. I called Smith and they stated they had never made one in a black finish only the stainless. Yesterday I called Lew Horton and low and behold, "yep, we got 'em, they only made a run of 100 and we got 14 left." Now it is in my greasy little hands. Hopefully, I will post pics soon. Essentially, it is the same as the 625SC performance center except the frame is blued. Nice gun. I had a Taurus Ti snub .45 ACP long ago and believe it or not that was a pretty tolerable gun to shoot. We will see. :)

Cool! I didn't know they had a PD version. I thought it just came in stainless. I looked at the Lew Horton site and saw a few. Is yours all black or a two- toned pinto? Got a holster picked out? Post some pics and give a range report when you can. I just bought a 25-2 and love .45acp revos now. Congratulations and give us an update soon.

Kinda a pinto I guess, the cylinder and shroud are the matching grey Sc look. Recently, over on Smith and Wesson Forum I saw a 4" 325 that is sweet too. I can't wait to try this stubby thing though.
