Anybody have experience using these or other plated bullets in 7.62x39. I am having real trouble finding any .310 fmj at any price. X-treme has their 123 gn .312 plated flat points in stock and they are half the price of fmj. I would be using them in a saiga rifle just plinking at the range. I am concerned about velocity and possible leading, lack of load data for cast bullets and possible feed problems with the flat point. Powders I have to use right now are H4198 and H335. Each of which list velocities at minimum load (for fmj) at 2100+. Anybody push these or other plated bullets through their saiga or AK at normal velocities? Do you have to reduce the load and if so how do I safely figure out how much? Thanks as always.

I got a bunch of these in a trade. Worked OK in my bolt gun, didn't bother to try them in my SKS, good enough for shooting cans and paper. Wouldn't go out of my way to buy them. Cast bullets worked better.
