Just was given this gun. It is a solid gun, looks in very good condition. Would it be best to just make it a wall hanger or buy ammo and shoot it? I reload, but I am not going to invest in this gun for that.

Most are going to be Argentine contract guns these days, since the Turks were almost all rebored to 8mm and the Belgians are rare as hens teeth. Since Argentina saw relatively little combat over the last century, they are often found in good shape.

Assuming the gun is in OK mechanical condition, there is no reason not to shoot it, the round is pleasant enough, with modern loads by Norma, PPU, or S&B being loaded mildly.

The '91 action is ok dokey, but the '93 is buttery smooth and a hoot to cyle quickly.

Agree pics would be nice.

Prvi Partizan and Norma both offer factory loaded soft point hunting ammunition both currently and in the past. So multiple bullet weights and loads are available.

There's also FMJ factory ammo available.

I was looking at a sporterized Argentine 1909 (I think) with full stock (Mannlicher style) a few months ago, but never pulled the trigger on it. It's still available on Armslist AFAIK.
